The Youth Academy is an important step in the STL FHC development pathway. Athletes may progress from the Academy into our Foundations (U8-U12) or Premier (U14-U19) club teams when they are ready--based on skill development, confidence, and interest.
Our goal is to meet athletes where they are and help them take the next step when the time is right.

What Equipment Do I Need?

What Equipment Do I Need?
Youth Academy athletes will need the following:
- Field hockey stick (you may borrow from the club)
- Mouth guard
- Shin guards
- Turf shoes or athletic shoes
- Water bottle

Spring 2026 Training Sessions
Dates: March 8 - May 17 (excluding 4/5, 4/26, 5/10)
Location: Rockwood Summit High School (stadium turf)
Time: 4:30-5:30p
Youth Academy Tuition
The Youth Academy is designed to be an accessible entry point into field hockey and the STL FHC community. Pricing reflects a development-focused program without the full club commitment.
Youth Academy Fee - $200
(*additional processing fees will be applied*)
What's included?
- 8 week training curriculum played on turf and led by STL FHC coaching staff, focused on basic fundamentals, building confidence and love of the game.
What's NOT included? Families are responsible for providing the following...
- Equipment: stick (athletes may borrow from the club), mouth guard, shin guards, turf or athletic shoes & water bottle.
